Resumen
The implementation of technologies in visits to cultural spaces represents an important factor in the user experience within them, allowing static objects to come to life in the real world through the presentation of visual content and additional information. In this work, a mobile application design is proposed that allows cultural entities to energize the interactive physical tours and also to take virtual tours of the facilities. In the application we will use augmented reality that allows us to locate the exhibited works through the use of markers. Likewise, the Vuforia SDK and the Unity development engine will be used to build applications based on augmented reality and virtual reality. The final mobile application allows our smartphone to be a personal guide that not only provides textual stories, but can also take virtual tours of the facilities. The functionality of this mobile application is evaluated by implementing it in a gallery, thereby demonstrating its versatility. The development of this type of mobile applications can help bring people closer to cultural sites that are difficult to visit and thus contribute to the appreciation of local heritage.
