The development of robotics is allowing this technology becomes more prevalent in supporting various human activities, this paper presents a low-cost alternative for a mobile robot, whose design is intended as a base platform to incorporate more features according to application where it is used. In order to achieve better characteristics of locomotion, it's used a bearing arrangement that allows better cinematics, for the controller design it's used an Internet of Things platform to achieving a control mechanism with a global reach and to provide a user interface friendly which can be applied for teaching purposes.
